Description
James McInerney immigrated to the United States from Ireland in 1908. He was wounded during the Everett massacre in 1916 where he was charged, stood trial, but was freed of all charges. He was severely beaten in jail the night of November 11, 1919 and when the trial began, had still not healed of his wounds. McInerney contracted tuberculosis and subsequently died from an infection caused by spinal meningitis. He died in prison on August 13, 1930 at the age of 46.
