Son of a Chicago preacher and a one time ministerial student, Ray Becker, changed his name from Ralph Burgdorf after escaping from a Bellingham jail where he was serving time for draft evasion. He arrived in Centralia from Raymond about November 9. He was convicted of second degree murder and was the last of the defendants to be released. He was parolled in 1939 and died in 1956.
