Description
Walker C. Smith was a leading member of the I.W.W. union also known as Wobblies, who wrote and edited socialist newspapers, tracts, pamphlets, satirical plays, and verse. In an effort to raise money for the I.W.W. defendants in the Centralia Massacre case, Walker Smith wrote "Was It Murder? The Truth About Centralia" and assisted lawyer Elmer Smith in later cases.
